On September 29th 2022, SAE Atlanta Section hosted an educational webinar on Industry 4.0 and its practical applications in advanced manufacturing. Mr. Raj Sohmshetty from Ford Motor Company and Mr. Ram Shetty from Opex Systems provided an introduction to Industry 4.0 and its applications.

They used examples from Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) best-practices and discussed how Industry 4.0 can be useful in these applications. They also discussed the benefits of Industry 4.0 to improve productivity, quality and profitability of manufacturers.
Mr. Ted Arnold from Kia Manufacturing Georgia facilitated the meeting. The webinar was attended by several industry professionals, who asked valuable questions and shared their insights.
