SAE Atlanta Section Meeting with Kennesaw Motorsports
For our first meeting of 2024, we are excited to announce a tour of the Kennesaw Motorsports shop. We will review the 2023 competitions and discuss plans for the teams and cars in 2024. This presents a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about engineering education, beyond what you would gain from a typical campus tour. Alumni of the Collegiate Design Series competitions will discover the increased challenges they now face. Professionals can observe what is currently being taught and what students are discovering on their own.
The Formula SAE team at KSU celebrates its 30th anniversary at competition this year. Over this period, they have garnered awards in static and dynamic events at competitions, as well as recognition for their SAE student section. They have successfully built both electric and gas-powered cars. Notably, alumni have played prominent roles in the local industry, demonstrating the impact of their time on the team. Kennesaw Motorsports is renowned for its support of regional teams through mentorship and the Formula South Invitational event.
